Best option for Alpensia slopes.
The location was great! Breakfast was amazing, they had every type of cuisine available, even drinking options were good (smoothies). Beds were so comfortable and linen was clean.
Bedrooms need to be updated - furniture a bit dated and chipped, just expect more for a 5 star. I was under the impression I had booked a room with a view of the slopes, however when I got there I was told that I had to choose between a lake view / road view with balcony.

Disappointed ski lifts closed earlier than expected without any information given
Very quiet town as all the guest already check-out. Heavy snowfalls in the morning. There's a Balwangsan Alpaca Ranch nearby approx 15mins taxi ride (17,000 won per trip), take a mini monorail, beautiful and nice place to explore
I messaged the hotel twice before my arrival to check and double confirm whether the skiing still available at the resort but there's no response until my arrival only found out that the entire ski slopes, ski facilities was closed 2 days ago. The whole resort was peacefully quiet without any guests as most of them already checked out and left the resort. This is really so disappointing esp my children are looking forward to hit the slopes, and that's the main reason that I booked this resort at the first place. Appreciate the resort can be more honest and put the announcement of the ski lift closure date on the website for easy reference booking. If I would know earlier that this resort was closed for skiing, I will choose Yongpyeong resort to stay which is still open.

조식식당이 북새통 줄서는데 20분이상 걸리고 오래 다녔는데 점점 조식 재료가 부실하고 식당이 덥고 북새통 사람이 많으니 지저분 하네요. 침대가 꺼져 불편
